“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”

- Habakkak 2:2

Ralston Ramsay was born on January 2, 1995 in New York, NY. He attended Morgan State University and is a proud alumnus of Mercy College.

With a passion in story-telling, he became inspired by many African American filmmakers (Spike Lee, Tyler Perry, John Singleton etc.) and decided to joined a non-profit organization called The Ghetto Film School in 2011. Within this organization, Ralston learned the craft of film and television production. In this program, he made a six minute silent film called, “Mama’s Boy,” which won $1,000 scholarship from Google. After, he went on to make a Target commercial spot and traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa to shoot a 15-minute short film called, “The Drum.”

In his four years of college, he became a fellow with the Emma Bowen Foundation that led him to intern with NBC Universal during his entire time in college. This afforded him the opportunity to land a job as Associate Producer/Editor for NBC’s “Open House”. In 2022, he took a leap of faith and moved to Dallas, Texas to work for Grammy winning artist, Kirk Franklin as his executive & creative assistant. He now works for Bishop T.D. Jakes’s production team as a videographer/editor.

He has created his own independent production company where he creates his own content including 2013’s Hollywood & Vine award winning film, “Young Love." His last two films “Last Night of the Year” won 2nd Place Best Feature Film at the Capital City Black Film Festival in August 2016 and "By Any Means" was selected into the 2018 Hip Hop Film Festival and 2018's Capital City Black Film Festival.
